| Tasting Notes: |
This wine is rich and vibrant offering aromas and flavors of dark fruit and hints of cherries. Made from grapes from the Château's 40-year old vines, the wine shows excellent balance and silky tannins with hints of licorice on the finish. The wine pairs beautifully with lamb, beef, osso buco, and pasta dishes with rich sauces and mushrooms. Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years.

| The Vintage: |
2005 - The quality of the vintage is considered so extraordinary that excitement reached fever pitch almost before the grapes were off the vines. Experts anticipate that 2005 will prove better than any vintage since 1972, surpassing such legendary years as 1982 and 2000.
